Juvenile Justice / Youth Study Center - News

Automated Control Systems, Inc. has completed a $2.4 million building automation system (BAS)
integration in the new Juvenile Justice Center in New Orleans. The facility, which has been under construction
in phases since 2013, was completed this year and replaces a temporary juvenile center constructed after the
original facility was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina ten years ago.

Automated Control Systems furnished an ElectroCell Hi-Tech Filtration System for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Canal Street in New Orleans. The system consisted of an X-Cell 2000 skid for the 3000 Ton open loop system and an X-Cell 200 skid for the closed loop. The estimated ROI for the Electrocell System is 2 years.

Automated Control Systems was awarded the contract o provide the DDC controls for this this grrenfield project located in Slidell, La. This facility provides affordable housing for the low income elderly and disabled. Villa Additions will take the place of a similar facility located in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans that did not reopen after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The project is scheduled for completion in in the late summer or early fall of 2016.

Automated Control Systems is nearing completion of the HVAC temperature control system at the three buildings comprising the Desire Street Ministries facility. The facility is comprised of a community center, an early childhood center and a medical clinic. The project is scheduled for completion in in the summer of 2016.

600 Carondelet Street, New Orleans

Automated Control Systems just completed the HVAC temperature control system at the newly renovated ACE Hotel. The 234-room, $80 million hotel occupies the Art Deco Building, which was commissioned in 1928 and once was the home to the Max Barnett Furniture Store. The ACE Hotel opened in March 2016.

AT&T Diamond One Project

Automated Control Systems, Inc. was authorized by AT&T to convert the old Diamond 1 Card Access Systems to the AT&T National Standard Andover – Continuum Card and HID iClass Card Access System. The nine-month project, scheduled for completion in June 2016, involves more than 178 buildings through out Louisiana and Mississippi.

Automated Control Systems, Inc. has previously installed over seventy-six Andover Systems prior to this project and is currently under contract to AT&T for installations and service going forward.

Loyola University New Orleans recently completed a major renovation of Thomas Hall, one of the university’s original buildings, which served as a residence and chapel for Jesuits of the New Orleans Province until 2005. To celebrate the renovation’s completion, the university will host an open house at Thomas Hall on Sept. 27, with a dedication ceremony for the Loyola community at 12:30 p.m. and a reception for the general public starting at 5 p.m.
